Fairwater Library has been completely refurbished, becoming a welcoming, colourful, contemporary space for the whole community.
A new meeting room has been created which is hired out to local community groups, or is used as additional quiet study spaces when not in use.
Funky furniture, shelving and display areas make the library an inviting place to visit.
A bright, vibrant children's area with coloured furniture, carpet and soft toys appeals to our younger users.
A corner of the library has been turned into a base from which Housing and Benefit Advice is delivered.
The exterior of the library has been fully landscaped to improve the look of the building and access to it (DDA compliant). The exterior signage has been also been greatly improved.
WiFi and scanning and copying facilities have been added, as well as an increased number of public access PCs.
Facilities for staff, including an office, kitchen/staff room and staff toilets, have been greatly improved.
